A woman tells you about her OBGYN appointment. A nurse doubts her daughter’s story. Why do we choose who we believe?

A Woman breaks the fourth wall and demonstrates what happens during her OBGYN exam. A nurse is haunted by a ghostly apparition. A Doctor’s Visit takes place in 2019, and follows a nurse, Joy, after her daughter, Nina, is accused of physically assaulting a student in class. When Nina confesses her side of the story, Joy’s trust is tested. A parable about the systems of power that obstruct our ability to see the truth.

A Woman Manages Her Anxiety

  • A Woman Manages Her Anxiety is a three person theatrical experience that incorporates dance to explore the life of an anxious woman. It tells the story of how her anxiety begins, and the methods she uses to manage it. It’s a show about how we deal with our inconvenient feelings and how shame and cultural pressures can lead to us internalizing harmful messages. And how, in order to escape the spiral of anxiety, we must face our fear and make it our friend.

Ever the rule follower, she immediately starts seeing a neurologist and has many unexpected first-times, from her first MRI to her first second, third and fourth second opinions. Maby thought she would spend her summer dealing with her clingy boyfriend, tolerating her less than perfect roommates and enduring a crappy job, but she quickly learns that she has no idea what the rest of the summer holds for her, much less her future.
