Ariane Stier |Audra| (she/her) Ariane is a Texas-based actor and theatre artist with more than ten years of performance experience ranging from classical theatre to new works and devising. She holds a B.A. in Theatre & Dance and B.S. in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin. Her senior thesis, which explored Latina representation in theatre, received the Senior Thesis Award in the Latino Media Arts & Studies Awards. Ariane currently serves on the Board for Broad Theatre and is a member of its acting company. In March 2026, she was selected to participate in the Latinx Theatre Commons inaugural Latinx Actor Training Laboratorio in Madison, WI. Notable performance credits include Emily in HUNGRY TEENAGE TRACK STARS (Broad Theatre), Emilia in OTHELLO (UT Austin), and Lady Macbeth in MACBETH (UT Austin). Most recently, she served as Assistant Director for Glass Half Full Theatre's production of FRUTOS DE LA MUERTE. She is thrilled to be a part of this production.
Bios
Suzanne Balling |Lanette| (she/her) has acted in over fifty Austin theatre productions since moving here in 2008. Most recently, she appeared in The Game’s Afoot (The Stage Austin), Fairview (Ground Floor Theatre), and POTUS (Jarrott Productions), for which she received a B. Iden Payne award for lead performer in a comedy. Some past favorite shows include Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe (Doctuh Mistuh), Zeus in Therapy (Tutto Theatre Company),and Burn This (7 Towers).
Jude Jecker |Fox| (they/she) is incredibly excited to be working with Broad Theatre on the original script of Falling Down the Mountain of Great Storms! A born and raised Austinite, she has been a performer of music and theater with such companies as The Paramount Theatre Story Wranglers, ACC Drama Department, The VORTEX, and more. Both an actor and technician, their work includes but not limited to: wig stylist in Reefer Madness, Callahan in Legally Blonde, Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone, and Creature in Playing with Fire: A Frankenstein Continuation. On top of theatre, Jude is an active member of the nonprofit and music community in Austin as the Program Director of Girls Rock Austin, dedicated to empowering girls and gender-expansive youth through music education and mentorship.
Delan Crawford |Hedgehog| (he/they/she) is thrilled to be working with Broad Theatre again after making his Austin debut in Maxine Dillon's Unbury Your Gays (Jess/Historian) last year! You might've also seen him in The Last Match (Sergei) with the Filigree Theatre this past February. Additionally he will appear as "Maria" in an upcoming local short film entitled I Can't Seem To Let Go by Josiah Sanchez. All very fun and exciting things :). Whether he's at the movies in sweats and a large popcorn in hand or at the local drag club in 9" heels, he is a chronic adventurer with a penchant for observation and doesn't take coincidences lightly. Perhaps the colorful rocks carried on his person at (almost) all times are his only indication that he even exists. DUN DUN DUNNNNN lol jk
Adonis Anderson |Barry| (he/him) is a trained actor under Atlantic Acting School in New York City. His on-stage credits which include: Kitch, Passover, Ground Floor Theatre, and Barry, Falling Down the Mountain of Great Storms, Broad Theatre, both based in Austin, Texas.
Lisa Kobdish |Heron| (she/her) Born and raised in Austin, Lisa is a dance artist known for her athletic and collaborative approach to performance and movement. She holds a B.F.A. in Dance from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in Dance Performance from Trinity Laban in London, where she toured internationally with Transitions Dance Company. Her performance and production credits span Austin, New York City, and beyond, including work with Kristin Sudeikis Dance, Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company, Blue Lapis Light, Jennifer Sherburn, Romulus NYC, and Depth Dance. In addition to performing, Lisa teaches Pilates and group fitness classes professionally, choreographs contemporary concert danceworks for the McCallum Dance Department, and co-produces both Dance Carousel and the Austin Dance Festival’s Dance on Film series. When she is not in the studio, she enjoys traditional archery, mountain biking, bouldering, stilt walking, and other adventurous pursuits
Samantha Plumb |Heron Chick| (she/her) Sam is a passionate, and versatile performer. With experience in both classical and contemporary theatre, she is committed to bringing authenticity, energy, and emotional depth to every performance. This will be her first time performing with Broad Theatre, and she couldn't be more excited to be a part of the production and process. Recent credits include Charmian in Walking Shadow Shakespeare's production of Caesar & Antony & Cleopatra, and Lavinia in Titus Andronicus with Stage ATX. Outside of the theatre, Samantha is a casual illustrator and zine artist; she spends as much time as she can in nature, and is always looking for an opportunity to be creative in her community.
Greg Romero |Playwright| (he/him) Greg’s plays, site-specific projects, and sound-art collaborations (with Mike Vernusky) have been experienced in the United States, Switzerland, Canada, The United Kingdom, and Jamaica. Romero was selected as the first-ever ArtsEdge Resident, was a pilot member of Hyde Park Theatre's Playwright's Group, and a member of the Rec Room Arts Playwrights Group. He may be the only playwright to stage a play in the bathrooms of Actors Theatre of Louisville during the Humana Festival of New Plays. His plays are published by Concord Theatricals, Next Stage Press, and YouthPLAYS. Romero received an MFA in Playwriting from UT at Austin where he held the James A. Michener Fellowship. He is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America, loves wildlife, and being outside. He is grateful for all the hard work and care that the Broad Theatre team has given this production.
Mike Vernusky |Sound Composer| (he/him) Mike creates music for live performance, radiophonic sound, and audiovisual experiences. His music is described as “brash” (The New York Times), “isolationist” (The Wire), and “especially otherworldly” (New Music USA). He thrives on collaborating with artists in other disciplines such as film, dance, theatre, photography and graphic design. He has ongoing projects with playwright Greg Romero, filmmaker Daniel Maldonado, visual artist Noopur Choksi, among others.
Natalie Guess |Assistant Director & Sound Board Op| (she/they) Natalie is a third-year candidate of Baylor University’s Master of Fine Arts in Directing. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University, double majoring in Theatre and Secondary Education. After graduating, Natalie spent several years as a theatre teacher and director as well as freelancing as a director, actor, lighting designer, and sound designer in Texas community theatre.
Molly Fonseca |Director & Producer| (she/her) Molly is a director, producer, and theatre maker based in Austin, TX, and the Producing Co-Artistic Director of Broad Theatre. Her work centers new play development, feminist leadership, and building sustainable, artist-centered models for making theatre. With Broad Theatre, she has directed and produced world premieres including Hungry Teenage Track Stars and A Doctor’s Visit and helped develop the company into a home for new work by and for people of marginalized genders. Up next, Molly is directing Steel Magnolias at Penfold Theatre. Molly is a proud associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
Anikka Lekven |Dramaturg & Producer| (she/her) Anikka is an award-winning Texas-based playwright and theatre producer. Her writing has been supported by the Mid America Theatre Conference, Sewanee Writers’ Conference, Scriptworks, and Ground Floor Theatre Writes. Her full-length plays include Hungry Teenage Track Stars (Winner of Best Original Script from Austin Theatre Critics), A Doctor’s Visit (GFT Writes), and A Texas Jesus Abortion Play (O’Neill Theatre Conference Semifinalist, Lanford Wilson Festival Short List, Distillery New Works Festival Short List, Mid America Theatre Conference). In 2024, her play, Hungry Teenage Track Stars, became the inaugural full-scale production for Broad Theatre, the nonprofit theatre company she co-founded with Molly Fonseca. Anikka will begin her MFA in Playwriting at UCSD in the Fall of 2026.
